You will need key cutting and programming the transponder to your vehicle. You can find an automotive locksmith using this website: autolocksmithfinder.com

IMPORTANT: Entering the programming mode cancels all learned remote codes, so no previously programmed remotes will work. You must program all remotes, including existing ones now. Separate your ignition key from remotes on keychain.
1. Start with your key in your right hand and any remote in your left hand. Keep all additional remotes easily accessible to your left hand. Insert the key into the ignition.
2. Perform these steps within 5 seconds.
a. Turn the ignition to the ON position (where the instrument panel lights are turned on without starting the engine.)
b. Press the UNLOCK button on the remote and release.
c. Turn the ignition back to LOCK (the position where the key is inserted) and leave the key in the ignition.
d. Turn the ignition to the ON position (where the instrument panel lights are turned on without starting the engine.)
e. Press the UNLOCK button on the remote and release.
f. Turn the ignition back to LOCK (the position where the key is inserted) and leave the key in the ignition.
g. Turn the ignition to the ON position (where the instrument panel lights are turned on without starting the engine.)
h. Press the UNLOCK button on the remote and release.
i. Turn the ignition back to LOCK (the position where the key is inserted) and leave the key in the ignition.
3. Within 5 seconds turn the ignition to ON.
4. Press the UNLOCK button on the same remote and release. The power door locks will cycle to confirm the system is in programming mode.
5. Within 10 seconds press the UNLOCK button on the same remote again and release. The door locks will cycle to confirm that the system accepted this remote.
6. Repeat step 5 for second or third remotes.
7. Turn the key back to LOCK and remove from ignition to exit programming mode.

RETURN POLICY

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return the item within 30 days of delivery of your order. The following rules apply:

Products must be in the same condition we sent it in. If the condition isn't in the same condition that we sent to you, then the refund amount will be less due to our cost to restore or refurbish the item. If it's not possible to restore or refurbish then the refund would be the value we could sell it for in the condition it is now in minus 20%. If you place a "Special Order" with us then there would be a 40% restocking fee.

Shipping Fees are non-refundable.

All returns must be made by signing in, going to MY ACCOUNT, clicking order history, finding the order, click Return this item.There are few non-returnable products & services that may be offered on our website. It will indicate clearly in the product description if a different return policy applies.

Order cancellations can only be requested prior to shipment.

RETURN PROCEDURE

To return a product, you must first request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) that is located in the MY ACCOUNT section next to each order item that you want to return. Once you've selected the items to return and the reason, you will be given return instructions.

EXCHANGE PROCEDURE

There are 2 ways you can go about exchanging a product:

Option 1 (Slower) - Use the standard return procedure to request an RMA for the part you need exchanged. In your request please specify the exact item(s) you would like to exchange to. Upon receipt of your returned product we will process an exchange and ship the new part. If there is a difference in the price, you will be either refunded or charged the difference.

Option 2 (Faster) - Order the new part over the phone and request to include a prepaid label to send back the first purchase for refund.

DEFECTIVE, DAMAGED, OR INCORRECT PRODUCTS

We all know that accidents happen sometimes. If your product(s) will arrive defective, damaged, or simply incorrect, please contact our customer service department as soon as possible. Please do not attempt to use or install the part! We will send you a replacement part and provide you with a prepaid return label to return the defective part. Product(s) must be returned to us within 30 days. If the damage was caused by a shipping courier, we will schedule a damage pick up by the courier.

RISK OF LOSS

A tracking number is provided with every order you place. Once the carrier’s status shows the package has been delivered we are not responsible for replacement orders!

ORDER CANCELLATIONS

When you request a cancellation of an order or a part it may take up to 24 business hours to process your cancellation claim. This process may involve voiding orders in computer systems, removing items from backorder logs, having operations personnel pull items from production schedules and sometimes stopping orders at the shipping dock. Also note that sometimes products ship more quickly than expected, so we recommend that you do not purchase alternative products until receiving final confirmation of your cancellation.

REFUNDS & CREDITS

After we accept your return, you will be issued a refund via the same payment method as you had originally used to place the order. The refund amount will be composed of the original purchase price minus shipping charges. You will be sent an email confirming receipt of the return and your credit. Please allow an additional 5-7 days for the credit to appear on your account.

I was able to remove that button and utilize the new electronic fob inside my original key casings and able to simply program the FOBs. I didn't have to have the new key portion rekeyed at high expense at locksmith. I am extremely happy that they work.

Everything worked as described. My only complaint is that the programming instructions were not included. Is they were the link was not easily discernible. I googled to find programming instructions. No issues with key fob after programming. I had to remove the trunk button to fit in my existing key and fob retainer.

Both of my Honda key remotes failed, no lights after battery replacement. I used the electronics from this key and it works without issues. Followed the included instructions without any issues to sync/reprogram the door locks. Note, the one I received had a trunk button which I removed before placing in the original key.

Key blank ready to program

The key blank must be cut before it can be programmed, and this had to be done by a locksmith (not a key cutting service like Home Depot). Then it must be programmed (instructions are easily found online). Then, after cutting and programming, all worked, including remote lock/unlock. If this was all done at the dealer or at the locksmith, the total cost would be $200 per key. Using these blanks then going to the locksmith, I was able to cut that cost by half. So, the key blanks here saved me a lot of cash….
