Remote For Honda:

The FCC ID of the remote you will receive is NHVWB1U523. It can be used to replace the discontinued FCC ID NHVWB1U521. This remote is used on the Accord, Civic, and Element when they have the system that uses this remote.  Vehicles that use this remote are easy to program using the programming procedure included with the purchase. Also, we provide free tech support over the phone to assist you if needed. This listing is for a brand new remote - not a used one. This remote is a genuine honda remote, not a generic replacement. This remote has three buttons: LOCK, UNLOCK, and PANIC. The LOCK and UNLOCK buttons send a signal right away when you press the buttons. By design, the PANIC button must be pressed for almost 2 seconds to product a signal. If you have an old remote for your car and the FCC ID on the back of it is the same as NHVWB1U523 or NHVWB1U521 then you can be sure this remote will work for you.


Programming Procedure:

IMPORTANT: Entering the programming mode cancels all learned remote codes, so no previously programmed remotes will work. You must program all remotes, including existing ones now. Separate your ignition key from remotes on keychain.

1. Start with your key in your right hand and any remote in your left hand. Keep all additional remotes easily accessible to your left hand. Insert the key into the ignition.
2. Perform these steps within 5 seconds.

a. Turn the ignition to the ON position (where the instrument panel lights are turned on without starting the engine.)
b. Press the UNLOCK button on the remote and release.
c. Turn the ignition back to LOCK (the position where the key is inserted) and leave the key in the ignition.
d. Turn the ignition to the ON position (where the instrument panel lights are turned on without starting the engine.)
e. Press the UNLOCK button on the remote and release.
f. Turn the ignition back to LOCK (the position where the key is inserted) and leave the key in the ignition.
g. Turn the ignition to the ON position (where the instrument panel lights are turned on without starting the engine.)
h. Press the UNLOCK button on the remote and release.
i. Turn the ignition back to LOCK (the position where the key is inserted) and leave the key in the ignition.

3. Within 5 seconds turn the ignition to ON.
4. Press the UNLOCK button on the same remote and release. The power door locks will cycle to confirm the system is in programming mode.
5. Within 10 seconds press the UNLOCK button on the same remote again and release. The door locks will cycle to confirm that the system accepted this remote.
6. Repeat step 5 for second or third remotes.
7. Turn the key back to LOCK and remove from ignition to exit programming mode.


The following vehicles can use this remote when equipped with the factory keyless entry system:

Honda Accord (2003-2004) - DX, Honda Civic (2001), Honda Civic (2002-2005), Honda Element (2003), Honda Element (2004-2006) - DX/LX, Honda Fit (2007-2008) - Base, Honda Pilot (2003-2004) - EX.

RETURN POLICY

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return the item within 30 days of delivery of your order. The following rules apply:

Products must be in the same condition we sent it in.

Shipping Fees are non-refundable.

All returns must be made by signing in, going to MY ACCOUNT, clicking order history, finding the order, click Return this item.There are few non-returnable products & services that may be offered on our website. It will indicate clearly in the product description if a different return policy applies.

Order cancellations can only be requested prior to shipment.

RETURN PROCEDURE

To return a product, you must first request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) that is located in the MY ACCOUNT section next to each order item that you want to return. Once you've selected the items to return and the reason, you will be given return instructions.

EXCHANGE PROCEDURE

There are 2 ways you can go about exchanging a product:

Option 1 (Slower) - Use the standard return procedure to request an RMA for the part you need exchanged. In your request please specify the exact item(s) you would like to exchange to. Upon receipt of your returned product we will process an exchange and ship the new part. If there is a difference in the price, you will be either refunded or charged the difference.

Option 2 (Faster) - Order the new part over the phone and request to include a prepaid label to send back the first purchase for refund.

DEFECTIVE, DAMAGED, OR INCORRECT PRODUCTS

We all know that accidents happen sometimes. If your product(s) will arrive defective, damaged, or simply incorrect, please contact our customer service department as soon as possible. Please do not attempt to use or install the part! We will send you a replacement part and provide you with a prepaid return label to return the defective part. Product(s) must be returned to us within 30 days. If the damage was caused by a shipping courier, we will schedule a damage pick up by the courier.

ORDER CANCELLATIONS

When you request a cancellation of an order or a part it may take up to 24 business hours to process your cancellation claim. This process may involve voiding orders in computer systems, removing items from backorder logs, having operations personnel pull items from production schedules and sometimes stopping orders at the shipping dock. Also note that sometimes products ship more quickly than expected, so we recommend that you do not purchase alternative products until receiving final confirmation of your cancellation.

REFUNDS & CREDITS

After we accept your return, you will be issued a refund via the same payment method as you had originally used to place the order. The refund amount will be composed of the original purchase price minus shipping charges. You will be sent an email confirming receipt of the return and your credit. Please allow an additional 5-7 days for the credit to appear on your account.

To replace the battery:

  1. To replace the battery, remove the round cover on the back of the transmitter by turning it counterclockwise with a coin.
  2. Remove the old battery and note the polarity. Make sure the polarity of the new battery is the same ( side facing up), then insert it in the transmitter.
  3. Reinstall the cushion ring. Align the mark on the cover with the mark on the transmitter, then set the cover in place and turn it clockwise.

Note: Replacement of the battery will not cause the remote transmitter to become deprogrammed from your vehicle. The remote transmitter should operate normally after battery replacement.
