Description

This remote is Onboard Programmable. This means that you will be able to program the vehicle to accept the new remote yourself using the instructions which are easy to follow. If you have a working remote then the programming procedure will take only a few seconds to complete. If you do not have a working remote then the programming procedure will take 30 minutes to complete.


Remote For Cadillac:

This smart key has an FCC ID of NBG009768T. The GM part number is 22856930. This part is the remote section, sold here. The emergency key which slides into and locks in place at the bottom of this remote is sold separately. This works on 2013-2014 Cadillac ATS, 2014 Cadillac ELR, and 2013-2014 Cadillac XTS.


Programming Procedure:

For 2013 XTS:

  • Programming with a Recognized Transmitter (keyless Vehicles Only) A new transmitter can be programmed to the vehicle when there is one recognized transmitter. To program, the vehicle must be off and all of the transmitters, both currently recognized and new, must be with you.

1. Open the center console storage are and the  storage tray.
2. Place the recognized transmitter(s) in the pocket. The transmitter ppocket is inside the center console storage area between the dirver and front passenger seats.
3. Remove the key lock cylinder cap. See Foor Locks on page 2-10. Insert the vehicle key into the key lock cyliner on the driver door handle. Then turn the key counterclockwise, to the unlock position, five times within 10seconds. The Driver Information Center (DIC) displays READY TO LEARN ELECTRONIC KEY #2,3,4 ETC.
4. Replace the recognized transmitter with a new transmitter. Place the new transmitter in the transmitter pocket.
5. Press the START button, when the transmitter is learned the transmitter the DIF display will show that it is reary to program the next transmitter.
6. Remove the transmitter from the transmitter pocket press or on the transmitter.
7. To pragramming additional transmitter Steps 3-5. When all additional transmitters are programmed, press and hold the START button for appoxinately 12 seconds to exit programming mode.

  • Programming without a recognized transmitter (Keyless Access Vehicles Only) If there are no currently recognized transmitters available, follow this procedure to program up to eight transmitters. This feature is not available in Canada. This procedure will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. The vehicle must be off and all transmitters to be programmed must be with you.

1. Remove the key lock cylinder cap. Insert the key into the key lock cylinder on the driver door handle; then turn the key counterclockwise to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. Your Driver Information Center (DIC) will display "REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT."
2. Wait for 10 minutes until the DIC displays PRESS ENGINE START BUTTON TO LEARN, then press the START button. The DIC display will again show REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.
3. Repeat step 2 two additional times. After the third time all previously known transmitters will no longer work with the vehicle. Remaining transmitters can be relearned during the next steps. The DIC display should now show READY FOR REMOTE #1.
4. Place the new transmitter in the transmitter pocket. The transmitter pocket is inside the center console storage area between the driver and front passenger seats. The storage area will need to be opened to access the transmitter pocket.
5. Press the START button. When the transmitter is learned, the DIC display will show that it is ready to program the next transmitter.
6. Remove the transmitter from the transmitter pocket and press unlock or lock button on the remote.
7. To program additional transmitter, repeat steps 4-6. When all additional remotes are programmed, press and hold the START button for approximately 12 seconds to exit programming mode.


For 2013-2014 ATS:

  • Programming with a recognized transmitter (Keyless access vehicles only) A new transmitter can be programmed to he vehicle when there is one recognized transmitter. To program, the vehicle must be off and all transmitters both current recognized and new must be handy.

1. Place the recognized transmitter(s) in the cupholder.
2. Remove the key lock cylinder cap. Insert the vehicle key into the key lock cylinder on the driver door handle, then turn the key counterclockwise to the unlock position 5 times within 10 seconds. The Driver Information Center (DIC) displays READY TO LEARN ELECTRONIC KEY #2, 3, 4, ETC.
3. Place the new transmitter into the transmitter pocket. The center console storage area will need to be opened to access the transmitter pocket.
4. Press the ENGINE START/STOP button. When the transmitter is learned, the DIC display will show that it is ready to program the next remote.
5. Remove the transmitter from pocket and press unlock or lock button on the remote. To program additional transmitter, repeat steps 3-5.
6. When all additional transmitters are programmed, press and hold the START/STOP button for approximately 12 seconds to exit programming mode.

  • Programming without a recognized remote (Keyless Access Vehicles Only). If there are no programmed remotes available, follow this procedure to program up to eight transmitters. This feature is not available in Canada. This procedure will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. Make sure the vehicle is off and all transmitters are handy before you start the steps.

1. Remove the key lock cylinder cap. Insert the vehicle key into the key lock cylinder on the driver door handle, then turn the key counterclockwise to the unlock position five times within 10 seconds. The Driver Information Center (DIC) displays REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.
2. Wait for 10 minutes until the DIC displays PRESS ENGINE START BUTTON TO LEARN and then press the ENGINE START/STOP button. The DIC display will again show REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT.
3. Repeat Steps 2 two additional times. After the third time all previouslt known remotes will no longer work with the vehicle. Remaining transmitters can be relearned during the next stpes. The DIC display should now show READY FOR REMOTE #1.
4. Place the new transmitter in the transmitter pocket. The center console storage area will need to be opened to access the transmitter pocket.
5. Press the START/STOP button. When the transmitter is learned, the DIC display will show that it is ready to program the next remote.
6. Remove the transmitter from the transmitter pocket and press lock or unlock button on the remote.
7. To program addiotional remote, repeat steps 4-6. When all additional remotes are programmed, press and hold the START/STOP button for approximately 12 seconds to exit programming mode.


The following vehicles can use this remote when equipped with the factory keyless entry system:

Cadillac ATS (2013-2014), Cadillac ELR (2014), Cadillac XTS (2013-2014).

RETURN POLICY

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return the item within 30 days of delivery of your order. The following rules apply:

All returns must be made by signing in, going to MY ACCOUNT, clicking order history, finding the order, click Return this item.There are few non-returnable products & services that may be offered on our website. Order cancellations can only be requested prior to shipment.

RETURN PROCEDURE

To return a product, you must first request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) that is located in the MY ACCOUNT section next to each order item that you want to return. Once you've selected the items to return and the reason, you will be given return instructions.

EXCHANGE PROCEDURE

There are 2 ways you can go about exchanging a product:

Option 1 (Slower) - Use the standard return procedure to request an RMA for the part you need exchanged. In your request please specify the exact item(s) you would like to exchange to. Upon receipt of your returned product we will process an exchange and ship the new part. If there is a difference in the price, you will be either refunded or charged the difference.

Option 2 (Faster) - Order the new part over the phone and request to include a prepaid label to send back the first purchase for refund.

DEFECTIVE, DAMAGED, OR INCORRECT PRODUCTS

We all know that accidents happen sometimes. If your product(s) will arrive defective, damaged, or simply incorrect, please contact our customer service department as soon as possible. Please do not attempt to use or install the part! We will send you a replacement part and provide you with a prepaid return label to return the defective part. Product(s) must be returned to us within 30 days. If the damage was caused by a shipping courier, we will schedule a damage pick up by the courier.

ORDER CANCELLATIONS

When you request a cancellation of an order or a part it may take up to 24 business hours to process your cancellation claim. This process may involve voiding orders in computer systems, removing items from backorder logs, having operations personnel pull items from production schedules and sometimes stopping orders at the shipping dock. Also note that sometimes products ship more quickly than expected, so we recommend that you do not purchase alternative products until receiving final confirmation of your cancellation.

REFUNDS & CREDITS

After we accept your return, you will be issued a refund via the same payment method as you had originally used to place the order. The refund amount will be composed of the original purchase price minus shipping charges. You will be sent an email confirming receipt of the return and your credit. Please allow an additional 5-7 days for the credit to appear on your account.

To replace the battery:

  1. Press the button near the bottom of the transmitter and pull the key out.
  2. Use the oval base of the key blade to separate the two halves of the transmitter.
  3. Remove the old battery. Do not use a metal object.
  4. Insert the new battery on the back housing, positive side facing down. Replace with a CR2032 battery.
  5. Align the key release button and snap the transmitter back together.

Note: Replacement of the battery will not cause the remote transmitter to become deprogrammed from your vehicle. The remote transmitter should operate normally after battery replacement.
