Programming Procedure:

NOTE: A maximum of four intelligent keys can be programmed to your vehicle. If you would like to replace a previously programmed access key with a new access key, or if you already have four access keys programmed to your vehile, you must take your vehicle and all access keys to an automotive locksmith to be erased and reprogrammed. You can use the link below to locate a local licensed automotive locksmith.

You must have two previously programmed intelligent access keys inside your vehicle and the new unprogrammed intelligent access key(s) readily accessible. If two previously programmed keys are not available, you must take your vehicle to an automotive locksmith to have the spare key(s) programmed.

 

Adding spare intelligent access keys:

Ensure that the vehicle is off before beggining this procedure. Ensure that all doors are closed before beggining this procedure and that all doors remain closed throughout the procedure. Perform this procedure exactly as described below, and perform all steps within 30 seconds of starthing the sequence. If any steps are performed out of sequence, stop and wait at least one minute before starthing again.
Please read and understand the entire procedure before you begin.

1. Place the new unprogrammed intelligent access key in the pocket inside the center consol utility compartment.
2. Press the driver or passanger power lock unlock control three times.
3. Press and release the brake pedal one time.
4. Press the driver or passanger power lock door control three times.
5. Press and release the brake pedal one time. The indicator on the Start/Stop button should begin to rapidly flash, indicating that the programming mode has been entered and the two programmed intelligent access keys have been detected in the vehicle.
6. Within one minut, press the Start/Stop button. A message will be displayed on the message center indicating that the new intelligent access key was programmed. If four intelligent access keys have already been programmed to your vehicle, you cannot program any more and the message "MAX # OF KEYS LEARNED" will be displayed on the message center.
7. Remove the intelligent access key from the utility compartment pocket and press the unlock or lock control on the newly programmed intelligent access key to exit programming mode.
8. Verify that the remote entry functions operate (Lock, Unlock) and that the vehicle starts with the new intelligent access keys. If the intelligent access keys have been succesfully programmed, they can be used to activate the intelligent access with the Push Button start feature and can be used to start your vehicle.


The following vehicles can use this remote when equipped with the factory keyless entry system:
Ford Edge (2011-2014), Ford Escape (2012-2019), Ford Expedition (2010-2017), Ford Explorer (2011-2015), Ford Flex (2013-2019), Ford Focus (2015-2019), Ford Taurus (2013-2019), Lincoln Mks (2011-2016), Lincoln Navigator (2015-2017).

RETURN POLICY

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return the item within 30 days of delivery of your order. The following rules apply:

Products must be in the same condition we sent it in. If the condition isn't in the same condition that we sent to you, then the refund amount will be less due to our cost to restore or refurbish the item. If it's not possible to restore or refurbish then the refund would be the value we could sell it for in the condition it is now in minus 20%. If you place a "Special Order" with us then there would be a 40% restocking fee.

Shipping Fees are non-refundable.

All returns must be made by signing in, going to MY ACCOUNT, clicking order history, finding the order, click Return this item.There are few non-returnable products & services that may be offered on our website. It will indicate clearly in the product description if a different return policy applies.

Order cancellations can only be requested prior to shipment.

RETURN PROCEDURE

To return a product, you must first request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) that is located in the MY ACCOUNT section next to each order item that you want to return. Once you've selected the items to return and the reason, you will be given return instructions.

EXCHANGE PROCEDURE

There are 2 ways you can go about exchanging a product:

Option 1 (Slower) - Use the standard return procedure to request an RMA for the part you need exchanged. In your request please specify the exact item(s) you would like to exchange to. Upon receipt of your returned product we will process an exchange and ship the new part. If there is a difference in the price, you will be either refunded or charged the difference.

Option 2 (Faster) - Order the new part over the phone and request to include a prepaid label to send back the first purchase for refund.

DEFECTIVE, DAMAGED, OR INCORRECT PRODUCTS

We all know that accidents happen sometimes. If your product(s) will arrive defective, damaged, or simply incorrect, please contact our customer service department as soon as possible. Please do not attempt to use or install the part! We will send you a replacement part and provide you with a prepaid return label to return the defective part. Product(s) must be returned to us within 30 days. If the damage was caused by a shipping courier, we will schedule a damage pick up by the courier.

RISK OF LOSS

A tracking number is provided with every order you place. Once the carrier’s status shows the package has been delivered we are not responsible for replacement orders!

ORDER CANCELLATIONS

When you request a cancellation of an order or a part it may take up to 24 business hours to process your cancellation claim. This process may involve voiding orders in computer systems, removing items from backorder logs, having operations personnel pull items from production schedules and sometimes stopping orders at the shipping dock. Also note that sometimes products ship more quickly than expected, so we recommend that you do not purchase alternative products until receiving final confirmation of your cancellation.

REFUNDS & CREDITS

After we accept your return, you will be issued a refund via the same payment method as you had originally used to place the order. The refund amount will be composed of the original purchase price minus shipping charges. You will be sent an email confirming receipt of the return and your credit. Please allow an additional 5-7 days for the credit to appear on your account.

To replace the battery:

  1. Remove the backup key from the transmitter, then twist a thin coin in the slot hidden behind the backup key slot to remove the battery cover. Note: Do not wipe off any grease on the battery terminals or on the back surface of the circuit board.
  2. Remove the old battery. Note: Please refer to local regulations when disposing of transmitter batteries.
  3. Insert the new battery. Refer to the instructions inside the IA key for the correct orientation of the battery. Press the battery down to ensure that the battery is fully seated in the battery housing cavity.
  4. Snap the battery cover back onto the transmitter and install the backup key. Note: Replacement of the battery will not cause the IKT or IA key to become de-programmed from your vehicle. They should operate normally after battery replacement.

Bought one for my 2015 Lincoln MKX, had a locksmith connect a computer to program it, done. Everything works. Make sure its the same FCC number as one of the original keys. I could not find the FCC number on my original because I had no idea the print was so small (see the attached photo I found online showing where the number is at).
