This is a brand new Switchblade Remote Key for the 2004-2008 Chrysler Crossfire. We will need your VIN number and exact miles when you check out so we can order it for you. It usually takes about 2 weeks to receive it because it gets made in Germany at the Mercedes factory and is then shipped to a Chrysler plant in the USA and then is forwarded to you. When it arrives, it will work right out of the box - you won't need to do any cutting / programming.


Don't order if you can't comply with these important points:

1. You will need to provide clear and legible photos of your driver's license, vehicle registration, and mileage.

2. The shipping name and address on the order must match the name and address on license and registration or we will have to cancel the order.

3. If you can't give us the exact mileage, if your photos are hard to read, if your shippng address is different from your registration address, then we can't process your order. In those cases we'd suggest contacting your local Chrysler Dealership Parts Counter.

4. If a locksmith has ever changed the locks on your crossfire then please don't place the order because even though the remote will work, the keyblade will not turn the locks or ignition.


(It usually takes about 2 weeks receive it.  However, approximately once or twice per year the factory has a backorder situation which historically lasted up to 11 weeks the worst time but usually about 6 weeks.)

Question: Crossfire locks have been changed, can I still order?

Answer: No. Unless, you’re fine with having a working remote and a separate key to open the doors and start the ignition. The remote itself will work but the keyblade won’t fit to the door locks and ignition since it was changed. So, you won’t be able to start the engine or open the car doors using the oem keyblade. However, you can contact a local locksmith to decode your locks and replace your old keyblade.



Chrysler started processing the orders. Processing time is 45 days.


Chrysler's most recent update to the fulfillment date is in December 2021.


Chrysler's tentative ETA for existing backorders is 4/2021.


These keys appear to be on backorder again.


All backorders placed before 10/2020 have been fulfilled.

Mopar has secured a new supplier to make the keys.  A majority of orders have shipped. We're monitoring the remaining orders.  It seems like fulfillment will resume normal timeframes within a few weeks.


Finally, some good news: Though the parts are not quite available yet, Chrysler is accepting back-orders.

Due to COVID-19 the delay has been extended.


Chrysler postponed again. Maybe in February there will be new information.


Chrysler's latest bulletin says these should be available Jan 15th 2020.


We will continue to accept back-orders but Chrysler is no longer accepting orders, possibly through Nov. Most likely by the time the orders can be fulfilled the authorization will have expired and we will need to call you to take the payment.

There are 2 ways you can go about exchanging a product:

Option 1 (Slower) - Use the standard return procedure to request an RMA for the part you need exchanged. In your request please specify the exact item(s) you would like to exchange to. Upon receipt of your returned product we will process an exchange and ship the new part. If there is a difference in the price, you will be either refunded or charged the difference.

Option 2 (Faster) - Order the new part over the phone and request to include a prepaid label to send back the first purchase for refund.


We all know that accidents happen sometimes. If your product(s) will arrive defective, damaged, or simply incorrect, please contact our customer service department as soon as possible. Please do not attempt to use or install the part! We will send you a replacement part and provide you with a prepaid return label to return the defective part. To replace the battery:

  1. Press release button (2) on the key Fob. The key folds out.
  2. Press the battery cover (1) in the direction of the arrow.
  3. Remove the old batteries.
  4. Insert the new batteries in the direction of the arrowwith the positive symbol facing upwards.
  5. Replace the battery cover and press on it until you feel it engage.

Note: Replacement of the battery will not cause the remote transmitter to become deprogrammed from your vehicle. The remote transmitter should operate normally after battery replacement.
