Frequently Asked Questions about Keyless Remotes


How do I know if my vehicle is set-up for factory remotes if I have never had a remote for it?
If you have have never had a working remote for your vehicle, call a car dealership's parts department with your VIN number. They can look up the original build sheet to see what options your vehicle has. Call the corresponding dealership to your vehicle (example: if you have a Ford call a Ford dealership, if you have a GMC call a GM dealership, etc.). We do not have access to the Car Companies databases and cannot look this information up for you.

How do I find the correct remote for my vehicle?

Start by choosing the year, make and model of your vehicle. This can be done with the navigation bar on the left hand side of the screen or the link on the homepage or by Clicking Here. After choosing the year, make and model of your vehicle you will then choose what options your vehicle has. Some vehicles have standard options or no extra options and on those vehicles this step will be skipped.

What if I don't know what options my vehicle has?
Again, you will need to contact a dealership's parts department your VIN number. They can look up the original build sheet of your vehicle to see what options it has.
We do not have access to car companies databases and cannot look this information up for you.

Is the year, make and model of my vehicle really all the information it takes to find
the remote I need?
Yes, as long as you know your vehicle is set-up for factory remotes the remote you need can easily be determined by this information. If you already have a remote, you can compare the picture and in most cases, the numbers on the remote to further confirm it is correct.

What if the remote I already have doesn't match the remote you show on the website?

Some remotes are interchangeable and will work even though they may not look exactly the same or have the same numbers. Just to be sure, if you find yourself in this situation please give us a call or e-mail.

Can I program the remotes myself and will there be instructions on how to do so?

Many remotes are onboard programmable, meaning you can program them yourself with no special equipment and we will provide the instructions on how to do so. However, some remotes and/or vehicles are not onboard programmable and will require an automotive locksmith or dealership in order to be programmed. Programming information can be found in the "more info" link on each product. We offer free technical support on all products we sell.

Do you carry any aftermarket brands of remotes?
No. We do not carry any aftermarket remotes. We carry only OEM factory original remotes, for vehicles set-up for factory remote keyless entry.

I do not see my vehicle listed, do you have products for it?
Although we carry remotes for many vehicles, we do not support them all. Our website is updated regularly, so if you do not see a vehicle listed, we probably do not carry products for it. If you would like to double-check feel free to give us a call or e-mail

Do the remotes come with warranties?
Yes. New and Refurbished products come with a 12 month warranty. Used products come with a 6 month warranty. We will repair or replace any defective products in the warranty time frame.

Can I return the remote for a refund, even if there is no problem with it?
Yes. We offer a 3
0 day no hassle return policy. You can return the remote within 30 days of purchase for a refund of the cost of the remote.

Will it really work? (yes, we do get asked this)

Yes, we have been in business for over 12 years now and we would not have lasted this long if our products did not really work.
